Game music fans: check out Sound Test

Raise your hand if you like game podcasts – good. Now keep that hand up if you also like game music. Still standing? Ok, then you should definitely check out The Sound Test, a brand spanking new podcast about game music. It comes from the good folks at 1Up, who, in my mind, basically spearheaded the whole “awesome gaming podcasts” thing on the interwebs, and who basically rock with all their audio and video content. The first episode tackles music from a wide variety of games – everything from Halo: ODST to Final Fantasy XIII to Ninja Gaiden II (on the NES, mind you).

From the Chiptuned blog:

“You know, I probably should have done something like this a while ago, but better late than never. The Sound Test is a show about game music, and almost nothing else (I mean, I talk on it, too). As you may have gathered from reading my stuff on this blog before, I’m by no means a music student, but I know what I love, and my insane-to-the-point-of-pathetic collection of game music must count for something. So why not share some of it?”
