You will not believe what has been just added to the PlayStation Store – a Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Heroes 3 demo! Yes! Hey, why are you looking at me like that? Come on, most of the video games based on Naruto, especially the Naruto Shippuden part of the series, are awesome. There’s a good chance this could be great too.
Anyways, Namco Bandai is releasing Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Heroes 3 for the PSP on May 11, 2010 and wanted to make PSP owners more aware of it by releasing a demo. After all, you’re much more likely to buy a game if you tested out and loved the demo. (That exact thing happened to me with LittleBigPlanet PSP this weekend.)
The Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Heroes 3 demo is a stripped down version of the full game, but has a few surprises for those who decide to spend (if they’re lucky) over a half hour downloading it. There’s only four characters available in the demo, the Leaf ninja Naruto and Kakashi and Akatsuki members Pain and Konan, but if you have friends around who also spent time getting the demo, you can take part in a four player battle royale over local ad-hoc. There’s also a single player free battle mode, and maps for the Hidden Leaf Village, Akatsuki Hideout and Cliff of Morning Mist to battle in.
The full game will be much larger. There are over 50 characters, over 80 missions, adventure modes, fighting modes and ad-hoc competitive or cooperative multiplayer. You can even try and save Sasuke from himself by heading down the Master Road.
