Splinter Cell Conviction strategy guide Everything is moving to the digital realm these days. I remember when owning a strategy guide was the only way to find secrets in a game. Some things we’re so well hidden, no normal person would have ever discovered it without help. Yet there are still print strategy guides being sold alongside games. We can think of a dozen reasons why buying a guide isn’t necessary, but that doesn’t stop Valve from selling digital guides through Steam.

Valve and Prima have teamed up to bring digital strategy guides to Steam. The guides can be viewed while in the game or outside the game. You still have to be connected to Steam in order to view the guides. Strategy guides usually sell for $20 at retail but Valve is willing to deal. Digital strategy guides for select games will be get a 50% discount. Now you only have to pay $10 as opposed to $20 for information you could easily find for free. The guides do include videos which is a plus.

Valve is also offering bundles for a game its strategy guide for a discounted price. You have to own a copy of a game in order to view its strategy guide.
