Naughty Dog Logo Naughty Dog set a new benchmark in graphics when it created Uncharted 2: Among Thieves. The game was universally praised and won dozens of awards. Killzone 2 was also expected to deliver superior graphics that were unlike anything seen before it. What happens when two of Sony’s top developers team up to make a graphics engine? Killzone 3 happens that’s what.

CVG reports Naughty Dog worked with Guerrilla Games on Killzone 3′s graphics engine. Uncharted and Killzone use different graphics engines. However both games employ the use of Havok for in-game physics. These developers teaming up could result in some of the best lighting and water effects the world has ever known. It’s likely Killzone 3 will fill a standard Blu-ray disc to full capacity especially if it can be played in 3D.

Expect Sony to reveal more about this partnership and Killzone 3 next month at E3.
