Left 4 Dead 2 introduces Last Man on Earth

In Left for Dead 2 your teammates are your lifeline. Without them you will surely be taken down quickly by hordes of the undead. But what happens if the unthinkable occurs? You wake up only to find your teammates gone. You’re alone with a few weapons, a health pack and a prayer. This is now your reality. You are the last man on earth.

Last Man on Earth is the latest in a series on mutations in LFD2. Every week a new gameplay mode is added to the game. In Last Man on Earth, you are hoisted into the game by yourself. You have to survive for as long as you possibly can against a horde of special infected. This means there are no run-of-the-mill zombies in this mode. Only Hunters, Boomers, Chargers, Tanks and the rest of their terrifying pals. Good luck with that.

Valve also wants you to record your best 60 seconds of playing Last Man on Earth and upload it to YouTube. The winner will have their video featured next week on the LFD Blog.

Last Man on Earth can be found in Single Player Mode.
