Guitar Hero logo Today at WWDC 2010, Activision got on stage to show off its new Guitar Hero game that’s available today (June 7, 2010) in the app store. You can expect more of the same from this game. It comes with music from bands such as Queen and The Rolling Stones.

Activision has created a new strumming function for Guitar Hero. It retains the standard tapping play style, or you can strum your device. You’ll also be able to customize your own avatar to your liking. Guitar Hero also has a Facebook sharing option. You’ll basically be able to fill your friends news feed with your high scores.

If you purchase Guitar Hero, you’ll get six free songs to play through. Those songs are listed below.

  • Queen – We Are The Champions
  • Rise Against – Savior
  • The Rolling Stones – Paint it Black
  • The White Stripes – Seven Nation Army
  • Weezer – Say It Ain’t So
  • Vampire Weekend – Cousins
