New Places and Spaces
E3 Conference Center on Home
For those who wanted to attend the E3 conference center in person can now visit the center virtually on Home to see the latest updates and interviews, watch trailers for upcoming games and snag all the exclusive freebies from outfits to furniture by simply watching the trailers and visiting the VIP area every day. There are even special personal games you can purchase and play right inside your own personal spaces, that’s right personal arcades which will be listed below in the shopping section. Check out the E3 conference on home and visit for your free virtual prize:
Playground
The next space to make its way to Home soon is the upcoming Playground featuring a street in downtown Brooklyn, New York. Here players can get together for a block party, play chess, shoot some hoops in a multi-player basketball game called HORSE or lounge on the roof tops and dance to some funky 80s music. On June 24, 2010, players can pick up a working boombox that will play music in their personal space. No word yet if this item will be given as a free reward for playing a game or if the boomboxes already for sale will simply start playing music on that date. Just keep checking back for more PlayStation Home Updates. For now check out this behind the scene’s video for the new public space Playground:
FevaArena Stadium
This new space is dedicated to the 2010 Fifa World Cup, soccer fans can visit the stadium to purchase memorabilia inside and watch videos about the event before stepping outside onto the soccer field for a chance to kick a few rounds of soccer for prizes. The soccer game is pretty much like the bowling game at the bowling alley in central plaza, line up the kick and choose how strong you want the kick to knock out the panels. Takes a few tries but its easy to figure out so I won’t go into details, but keep playing and save up your points to collect prizes of your choice, ranging from a trophy to soccer-themed beanbag chairs and soccer gear. Right now the prize booth is not up, but keep looking on the field for the FevaSimulation prediction game. The booth was located on the opposite goal when the space first opened and may reappear in the same area when it returns. When it opens predict who is going to win the next game based on current stats that will be posted on both sides of the booth to receive even more prizes if your guesses are right.
Disgaea 3 Spaces
Players will find two new spaces dedicated to the Disgaea game series with the familiar Prinny ready to give you information about the game, a Buzz! style game set in the Evil Academy, go up the stairs and enter Mao’s Bedroom to play Netherworld Millionaire or an arcade stacking game for prizes. The card game is fairly easy and requires at least four people to play, the first to empty their hand of cards wins so use the face cards wisely.
