Trine 2

Another one of Atlus’ E3 2010 announcement was the news that Trine 2 is currently in development. For what platforms, we don’t know. But we do know that Frozenbyte and Atlus are hard at work at this new downloadable game and that it will be available sometime in Spring 2011.

Trine 2 will bear a lot in common with Trine. There will once again be three main characters, the knight, rogue and wizard, and players will have to rely on all three characters to make it through levels and puzzles. You can do this alone or you can call upon friends to help you out, with each person controlling one of the three characters. Unlike Trine, Trine 2 will allow users to get help from friends online.

Let’s take a quick peek at what Trine 2 will look like:

So the good news is, more Trine is coming. The bad new is, it’s about a year away. The original Trine was available for the PC and PS3, so PC and PS3 versions of Trine 2 are probably a given. Let’s hope this time it appears on the Xbox 360 as well.
