Followars is a two-player RPG that draws stats from Twitter to create fighters. First, you download the $2.99, 10.9mb game. Then both you and the other player log in to your Twitter accounts from your iPad. Both players then choose two Twitter followers to act as your party members. From there, it’s pretty much a turn-based RPG battle. You can sometimes use a special attack, and you try to defeat your opponent. Stats are automatically generated from both players’ accounts, so you really have to hope for the best.
Once the battle’s done, the winner gets Battle Points which will allow him or her to move up the online, World Ranking leaderboard. You can also brag about your performance by releasing a Twitter update.
Sadly, if you don’t have friends who also tweet, Followars is useless to you. It’s a two player game after all.
