Heavy Rain Chronicles was a group of three downloadable episodes meant to focus on individual characters. It would tell their stories previous to the events in Heavy Rain and would last for around one hour per episode. The Taxidermist was released earlier in the year but the two other episodes have been postponed. Quantic Dream’s David Cage said PlayStation Move is the reason behind the delay.
Speaking with NowGamer, David Cage expressed his sorrow for fans due to the delay.
“I am disappointed for fans we could not finish the story of Heavy Rain the way we intended,” said Cage.
Cage said Sony insisted Quantic Dream focus on implementing PlayStation Move controls into Heavy Rain instead on working on the DLC. Cage felt spending more time with Heavy Rain could cause delays on other projects the team is working on. There is a possibility that the remaining two episodes of Heavy Rain Chronicles may not ever see the light of day.
