Doom 2 Mega Man 8-Bit Deathmatch mod demo now available

Apparently, fans have decided that the world is reading for a FPS Mega Man game. Well, one fan – Mike Hill. Everyone else just agreed with him and cheered him on. He has spent quite a bit of time working on a Doom 2 mod called Mega Man 8-Bit Deathmatch. Now, the first demo has been released and people can try it out for themselves.

Even though the version of Mega Man 8-Bit Deathmatch released is just a demo, there’s still a bit to do and see. You can fight in four different maps, there are items like E-tanks available, 10 different weapons from the Mega Man games can be found in levels and there are even five skins. You can practice playing alone even, before finding a server so you can head into the multiplayer mode.

Also, you don’t need Doom 2 to try out Mega Man 8-Bit Deathmatch. All you need is your computer and the 28mb download. If you want to play with friends, you’ll have to do a bit more work and set up your own server or find a server to join.
