Ubisoft passively announced it was making a Michael Jackson game at its E3 2010 press conference. It didn’t say anything about the game. We just watched a bunch of people breakdancing on stage for five minutes. Michael Jackson isn’t known for breakdancing so we were all puzzled for the longest time. But now we know exactly what this mystery project entails and we’ll start with the title. Ladies and gents, this is Michael Jackson The Experience.
Micheal Jackson The Experience will be released for Xbox 360, PS3, PSP DS and Wii this November. It will use Kinect, Move and the Wii’s motion controllers to help you mimic MJ’s singing and dance moves. Kinect will offer the least cumbersome experience. You will be able to sing and dance without the use of any controllers. Your body is scanned by Kinect and inserted into the game. You can use microphones in addition to PS Move, but you’ll have to enter a specific singing mode to do so.
Since the PSP and DS have no motion capabilities, Michael Jackson The Experience has to be played by entering correct inputs in rhythm to the music.
