Europe gets zombie toys and we don’t

It’s a good day to live in Europe if you’re a Dead Rising fan. Europe is getting a special version of Dead Rising 2 that so far hasn’t been announced anywhere else. Dead Rising 2 Outbreak pack which contains a handful of goodies including a 12 inch zombie action figure.

The toy isn’t anything too special. It’s just a zombie dressed as if he were at a barbecue. But the thought of knowing gamers stateside not being able to play with Capcom branded zombies makes my heart drop. Capcom has stated it will not bring this specific bundle to North America, but does have something different in store.

There’s more to the Outbreak pack than a toy. Also included is a token for a bonus Dead Rising 2 theme and access to unspecified content for the PS3 and Xbox 360 versions of the game.

North American retailer Gamestop isn’t offering any action figures for purchasing Dead Rising 2, but pre-ordering the game from there will get you a ninja costume.

Dead Rising 2 is expected be be released on October 1, 2010 in Europe and September 28, 2010 in North America. The game has been pushed back a few times, originally set for release earlier this year.
