You got swords in my Left for Dead 2

Every week Valve adds a new game type to Left for Dead 2. This helps keep the game feeling fresh and satisfies the community who look for constant support in games after release. This week is all about melee combat with what Valve is calling Four Swordsmen of the Apocalypse.

Four Swordsmen of the Apocalypse pits the four survivors, armed only with swords, against the infected. It’s a gameplay option that leaves little to the imagination, but when you pair swords and zombies, you don’t need much else.

Left 4 Dead has one of the most engaging communities in videogames today. This is mostly due to the freedom to add modification to the game without fear of Valve throwing down the ban hammer. Next week Valve will introduce another mutation called Hard Eight. There are no details on what the mutations entails. There is an episode called Hard Rain: Escape that was voted the least favorite finale by Left 4 Dead fans. The two could be related but we won’t know for sure until next week.
