GameStop holding Nintendo sale July 18-24, 2010

If you own a DS or Wii, or perhaps want to, GameStop is the place to go this week (July 18-24, 2010). The store has sales on DSi systems, DS games and Wii games going on all this week, where you can get a pretty nice discount on some decent games. There’s also A trade-in promotion going on, where if you trade in any used games to buy any new Nintendo games, you get 25% extra trade-in credit. You can see the flier for yourself listing all the great deals in your Sunday newspaper.

The impromptu DSi and DSi XL bundles are quite handy, if you don’t already own one. There’s no price discount – the DSi is still $169.99 and the DSi XL is still $189.99. However, if you buy a system, you get a free copy of Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks, Pokemon Platinum, Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Sky, Super Mario DS or Style Savvy.

There are also a number of DS games on sale. For example, if you pay $19.99 for Cooking Mama 2 or Gardening Mama, you can get Cooking Mama for $9.99. Then there are the temporary price drops. Scribblenauts, Lego Harry Potter: Years 1-4, Sonic Classic Collection, Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days and Sonic Sega All-Stars Racing are all $19.99 each. Club Penguin: Herbert’s Revenge also drops to $24.99 this week. If you need accessories, you can get DSi starter kit for $9.99 or a DS carrying case for $4.99.

As for Wii game sales, there aren’t as many. There are a few, but they can’t compare with the deluge of DS sales mentioned above. When it comes down to it, three games are on sale. Vacation Isle: Beach Party is $19.99, 2K Sports Major League Baseball 2K10 is $29.99 and Lego Indiana Jones 2: The Adventure Continues is $14.99.
