Atlus has some great news for owners of the PS3 action-RPG Demon’s Souls – you’ll be playing it online for at least one more year. The company just confirmed that the game servers will still be around until at least March 2011. So you can still invade other people’s games (or be invaded!), duel, take on dungeons with friends and share tidbits of wisdom on the floors for another year.
There’s also a World Tendency shift to coincide iwth and celebrate the announcement – a really good one. For the next few weeks, the Demon’s Souls World Tendency for all PS3 owners with their systems hooked up to the internet will shift to Pure White. That means that dungeons will be easier to traverse and enemies will be easier to defeat. So if you’ve been having trouble leveling up or exploring certain areas, go back and see if its easier now that the world is Pure White. Atlus hasn’t mentioned how long this World Tendency shift will last, so enjoy it before it’s gone!
So if you own it, enjoy this next year playing. Who knows how long you’ll have online interactions after March. And if you don’t own it, hurry up and get it now so you still have plenty of time to enjoy the active and passive online multiplayer features.
