Dead Space is getting a heap of side stories leading up to Dead Space 2. The latest batch of Dead Space goodness comes in the form of a graphic novel and an animated film. Dead Space Aftermath and Dead Space Salvage were both announced during Comic-Con. Both Aftermath and Salvage will be available in Winter 2010.
Both Dead Space additions tell different stories about the franchise. Aftermath will be the animated feature that focuses on the events that occurred “during the first-responder mission to Aegis VII.” In this feature, the government is bent on making a Marker blueprint carrier. In order to do this, it sends in a group of people to get exposed to market shards. Aftermath will be out in January 2011.
Salvage is the graphic novel about miners who come across the USG Ishimura. As expected, the crew runs into hordes of Necromorphs. The graphic novel will release one month prior to the film in December 2010.
