One week ago we reported on a book from Rockstar Games entitled Digital + Analogue: The Art and Science of Rockstar Games. This book was meant to tell the history of Rockstar’s games through dozens of pictures and DVD’s. The book was set to release in August and cost about $450. It turns out that book has been canceled and the book’s editor is working on a new project.
The vice president of Distributed Art Publishers told Wired the book will no longer be coming out. In fact, the book has been canceled for over a year. The website on which the book was listed said the post was a mistake and has been taken down.
The new project is estimated to be another book on Rockstar Games. Unfortunately the editor is not ready to give any details on what the book will entail.
Anyone who started pre-ordering the book should contact the distributor for reimbursement.
