Pocket God comic book coming August 3

Pocket God is a game on the Apple App Store that gives you total control. You are literally the God of adorable big-eyed pygmies on various island environments. You can do whatever you want to them including hurling them into a volcano, and sending them to Hell to participate in a running mini-game for all eternity. The game is now trying its luck in the literary world with a comic book that slated for release on August 3, 2010.

The first issue of the Pocket God comic will be available in both digital and print form. The digital version will come out first through iVerse Media, a publisher that provides comics on the iPhone, iPod Touch, Android and PlayStation Network. The print version will be released sometime in late Summer. No price has been given, but we do know the Pocket God comic will span four issues.

As for the the Pocket God game itself, Bolt Creative is planning to release a new iPad game called Pocket God: Journey to Uranus that is scheduled to release in the Fall. It retains the Pocket God trademark play style, but allows you to take the pygmies to different planets.
