I know what all the Pokemon HeartGold and SoulSilver players will be doing this weekend – they’ll be searching for a Wi-Fi hotspot. Nintendo’s just announced that the Enigma Stone needed to unlock and catch the legendary pokemon Latios and Latias will be made available through the Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection Mystery Gift feature.
If you log into Wi-Fi with your DS between July 31 and August 27, 2010 with that feature, the Enigma Stone and Soul Dew will automatically appear in your inventory. Then, if you meet certain requirements, you can use the Enigma Stone to go find and battle either Latios or Latias. The requirements being that you’ve already beaten the Elite Four and gotten the National Dex. Oh, and not have more than two Wonder Cards.
Make sure you take some good pokemon with you when you go to battle Latios or Latias, as both will be at level 40. I’d say bring one or two who can inflict some status ailments, a few at around level 35 (to make sure you don’t accidentally make the legendary faint) and lots of Ultra pokeballs.
