That was not enough to deter hardcore players, though, and not enough to deter Activision from selling them again. Elder Geek reports leaked SKUs confirm Hardened and Prestige editions for the PS3 and 360 versions of the game.
The contents for these editions are still unknown but the Hardened Edition will retail for $79.99 and the Prestige Edition is $149.99.
Using last year’s editions as a frame of reference, the Hardened Edition contained an art book and a code to download Call of Duty Classic. The Prestige Edition included all that and a pair of night vision goggles. Hey, that was worth an extra $70 to a lot of gamers. Both editions came in a steel case.
Call of Duty:Black Ops is coming to Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, Wii and the Nintendo DS November 4, 2010.
