Worms Reloaded coming exclusively to PC

The Worms franchise has been around for over ten years. In that time it has graced just about every platform since its incarnation. It’s easy to forget Worms originally came out on PC. Now the game that introduced us to homicidal invertebrates is coming back home in Worms Reloaded. It will be released on August 26, 2010 on PC.

Worms Reloaded takes the classic 2D gameplay style that made the other games popular and adds new features. It contains more than 60 single-player and multiplayer missions, as well as every Worms weapon ever created and HD visuals. My heart smiles at the thought of seeing the Holy Hand Grenade in action again. There’s also two additional modes called Body Count and Warzone.

Starting today (July 29, 2010) pre-orders for Worms Reloaded are being accepted on Steam. Steam pre-orders will also receive a 10% discount ($17.99) access to the game one full day ahead of time and pre-order only items. Worms Reloadedon Steam also includes 12 Achievements.

• Graphics: 128MB Video Card (GeForce4 or equivalent card)

• Sound: DirectX® 9.0c-compliant sound card
• Other Requirements: Internet connection required
