If you’re a war-game fan, then EA’s just provided another reason to splurge on Medal of Honor when it comes out October 12, 2010. The $59.99 limited edition versions for the PC, PS3 and Xbox 360 will all come with beta invites for Battlefield 3. So as long as the Battlefield 3 beta happens before October 12, 2011, you’ll be able to participate.
Medal of Honor is the first game in the series to take place in Afganistan and follows Tier 1 Operators. Normally, entries in that particular series all take place during WWII. If you get the limited edition, you get the invite beta key and three additional guns to use in the game.
If you own a PS3, you should splurge and get that version of Medal of Honor. In addition to all the other goodies, you also get an HD version of Medal of Honor: Frontline. You’ll probably want to avoid the Xbox 360 version, since you’d need an Xbox Live Gold membership to participate in the Battlefield 3 beta.
