Mousechief logoMousechief’s latest game, which was announced under the codename Mecha Edward Rutherfurd, has been revealed to be a family/civilization management simulation called arcada mia. Yes, I liked Mecha Edward Rutherfurd better, but arcada mia works too.

Your goal in arcada mia is to help your family advance through the ages. Make them strong rulers, even though they’re starting out as nobodies. You must strategically manage their lives and determine what actions would be best to establish them. Some things you’ll get to do include dealing with friends and foes, guiding the children of the clan, determining what enterprises your family should undertake and even who people should marry.

It sounds promising! Unfortunately, it won’t be released until 2011.

Also, that contest to win a copy of arcada mia is still going on. Apparently, no one knows what the poem is. Here’s what’s been revealed so far:

Ruler, Noble, Artisan, Drudge,
Wealth and poverty distract
Descendants feeble and sturdy,
Notwithstanding nature’s plagues and urges,
From wheeling works, joyous and frightful.
Tragedy and triumph turn the ‘path to us’.

If you know what poem it is, email Mousechief with the poem’s name, a copy of it and your name and address to win a copy of arcada mia and $1.
