NBA Jam free for those who purchase NBA Elite 11

The downloadable title will have three modes but not include the “Remix Tour” featuring the much anticipated boss battle against Magic Johnson and Larry Bird. That will remain a Wii exclusive, according to EA.
I’ll believe that when I see it. I would bet my basketball cards that Remix Tour appears as a download on PSN and Xbox Live sometime in 2011.
EA was the first company to announce the controversial online pass. So this fits right in with the company’s strategy of giving incentives to buy games new as opposed to renting or buying used.
This is not a bad move by EA, as NBA Jam would give gamers a reason to buy Elite even if they already purchased NBA 2K11. This is shaping up to be one of the best videogame basketball seasons in years. NBA Elite 11 releases on the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 October 5, 2010, the same day NBA Jam comes to the Nintendo Wii.
