Ever since LittleBigPlanet came out, many creative gamers have sought to replicate those danged cuddly and soft-looking Sackboys in real life. Nursing student Nikki is one such person. In between her studies and gaming she crochets, then displays her adorable creations on her blog Pig Corner.
In addition to the standard “naked” Sackboy, Nikki has created a Kratos, Ezio, and Ico Sackboy. They are so cute! I particularly love the detail on the Ezio Sackboy, such as the single wee glove on his right hand (retracting palm daggers not included).
Nikki doesn’t just crochet Sackboys though. She’s also created Totoro and more recently, the knights from Castle Crashers
Although the dolls aren’t for sale (ya know, copyright infringement and all), Nikki has posted some YouTube tutorials so you can make your own sackboy characters — that is, if you know how to crochet.
With the amount of games that she plays and anime she watches, Nikki will never run out of inspiration for her crafts projects. On her website is a list of future dolls, which include a Sailor Moon Sackgirl, Sonic the Hedgehog, and Cole (from Infamous) Sackboy. I look forward to seeing them!
