The Force Unleashed 2 Star Wars: The Force Unleashed II is one of those games that was supposed to come out on just about every gaming platform currently available. The game will be worked on by three different developers, LucasArts for the PS3/360, Aspyr Media on PC and Red Fly Studio on the Wii. The Force Unleashed II will also be coming to the DS and iPhone. The only console left out is the PSP version which has just been confirmed as canceled.

The Force Unleashed for PSP was supposed to come out alongside its multi-platform brethren on October 26, 2010. Today (August 10, 2010) LucasArts announced the PSP version is no longer being developed. LucasArts did not explain why the PSP version is canceled.

As if the PSP needed anymore bad news. The console suffers from a lack on compelling games and is begging for a reboot. The Force Unleashed II is a big name title that probably won’t move consoles, but will at least show that developers still consider the PSP relevant. Chances are you own a platform other than PSP so most of us will still be able to partake in Starkiller’s next adventure.
