Deal of the Day: PROTOTYPE $19.99 for Xbox 360, PS3

Let’s kick off the week with some savings. Starting today (August 15, 2010) until 12am PST. on August 16, 2010, Prototype will be on sale through Amazon for $19.99.

PROTOTYPE is a platinum hit for the Xbox 360. With that title comes a price drop. The PS3 version of the game has also come down to the same price. Prototype was expected to be a big hit in 2009. Its open world environment with countless things to blow up made it sound like an exciting game on paper. Not to mention the satisfaction of using Alex Mercer’s signature mutated claw arm.

Compared to its then-rival inFamous, Prototype seemed to be the superior title. However after each game was released, it was found that Prototype had problems that kept it from becoming number one. Now over one year later, inFamous is getting a sequel and poor Prototype is just a distant memory. That being said, don’t think of Prototype as a bad game. It does have flaws that are difficult to overlook, but for $20 it’s a decent enough buy.
