Bethesda’s Brink is a first-person shooter RPG hybrid set in – wait for it – a post-apocalyptic nightmare.
Two warring factions are fighting over a floating city called the Ark. Apparently the rest of the world is flooded and Kevin Costner is nowhere in sight. I’m already intrigued and the preorder bonuses add some more interesting items.
For reserving at Ye Olde GameStop, you will get a pack with weapons and armor from the classic shooter Doom. A Best Buy preorder allows you to relive your Lone Wanderer days with equipment and guns from RPG hit Fallout 3.
The two factions, The Resistance and The Security, each have four separate classes of fighter. Brink also will feature co-op play including levels that reward you more experience for playing with teammates. This game was initially slated for 2010 release but got delayed in 2011. That is probably a good move, as the rest of 2010 is already jam packed with games including Call of Duty:Black Ops, Need for Speed Hot Pursuit and Fable III.
Brink will be available 2011 for PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.
