Stars Wars: The Clone Wars Adventures, Sony Online Entertainment and LucasArts’ free-to-play MMORPG based on the Star Wars: The Clone Wars cartoon series, has just entered it’s public beta phase. This means that anyone who wants to create a character and step into the universe can, for free immediately!
It’s really easy to get started. You just head to the Star Wars: The Clone Wars Adventures website, click the big green Sign Up button and then register for the beta. You’re then set to start taking part in the game. Expect it to be a little like Free Realms, another SOE game, as it’ll have daily activities and mini-games in addition to the galaxy-traversing and lightsaber dueling goodness you’d expect from a Star Wars game.
As a Star Wars: The Clone Wars Adventures beta member, you will probably be asked to tell SOE what you think about the game. So make sure you pay attention while you’re playing. That way, if you’re asked for your opinion, you can honestly say what you think does and doesn’t work.
Star Wars: The Clone Wars Adventures will officially launch September 15, 2010. As you can probably guess, that’s when the cash shop will open and players can spend Station Cash on in-game items or monthly memberships. If you enjoy the game during the beta, you may want to get the Galactic Passport once it’s in stores, as you’ll get 500 Station Cash, access to the Togruta character, a Yoda statuette and a 90-day Star Wars: The Clone Wars Adventures membership which will undoubtedly give you access to extra features in the game.
