Gun Loco doesn’t come out until 2011 on the Xbox 360 and Square Enix wants to get you involved in the game. If you’ve ever dreamed of seeing your name in a game’s credits or await the day when you can point to a screen and say, “That’s me!”, now is your chance.
Square Enix is holding a competition that will end in one person singing lyrics to a song in one of Gun Loco’s levels. All you have to do is visit Gun Loco’s site and access the stage music and lyric sheet. After you record yourself singing, send the file in either video or mp3 form to Square Enix. Don’t go running to the site right now because nothing is there. The contest won’t start until September 9, 2010 and will end on October 4, 2010. You have a couple weeks to fine tune your vocal cords before the contest begins.
The grand prize winner will receive two plane tickets to Los Angeles to record the song, an Xbox 360, a copy of Gun Loco, a year of Xbox Live and more. Anyone who enters will get 50 Square Enix members points and music related items for your Xbox 360 Avatar.
Gun Loco appears to be a wacky game. I’d say the more creative your interpretation of the song is, the better chance you have of winning. Just make sure we can actually hear the lyrics in your song.
