Hello Kitty Online now available in stores

There’s good news for Sanrio fans with internet connections too slow to download Hello Kitty Online – you don’t have to! If you have $19.99, you can pick up the Hello Kitty Online Premium Edition instead. The packages have already shipped to stores and you can get the game on a DVD if you live in North America or Europe.

You won’t just get the game though. That would be a bit of a rip-off, since Hello Kitty Online is a free-to-play MMO. You also get a few premium extras. You get $15 worth of Sanrio Cash Points to use in the in-game cash shop, one of four in-game pets, post cards and an 82 page instruction manual. Okay, the manual isn’t exciting, but the rest is pretty nice.

Hello Kitty Online is an MMO with lots of Sanrio characters in it, like Hello Kitty and My Melody. You socialize with other players, do fun little quests, manage a farm and such. It’s all very cute, colorful and pastel.

And if you’re curious, yes, I’m going to buy it. Not now, but eventually. I figure this could be $9.99 by Christmas. If it turns out one of the pets you can choose from is Charmmy Kitty, I’ll even pay full price.
