EA made the right call, kept Favre in the game (as in Madden NFL 11)

EA Sports simulations correctly predicted Spain’s World Cup victoryand the Madden NFL series has predicted six of the last seven Super Bowl champs.
While much of the sports world was doing the annual “Will He or Won’t He Play?” dance with Brett Favre, EA never removed him from the Vikings roster in Madden 11. The game launched before Favre’s official return, forcing EA to make a definitive call before releasing the game.
EA made the right call.
In 2009, Favre entered Madden NFL 10 through the season’s first roster update.
He was ranked as an 82 overall after a subpar season with the Jets. Favre had perhaps the best season of his two decade NFL career in 2009, so he starts this Madden season at a 92 rating.
EA Sports adjusts player ratings during the season, so if Favre starts throwing four interceptions a game he’ll lose points in future roster updates.
