Angry Birds flings itself at the PlayStation Store

The remarkably addictive game Angry Birds has found a new handheld in which to build its nest. The avian- and pork-filled puzzle game will be available in PlayStation minis format and can be purchased from the PlayStation Store in fall 2010.

The PS minis version of Angry Birds will feature four worlds with over 120 levels. It’ll include several features not found in previous versions. This includes a new World 4 called, “The Big Set Up” and a Big Brother Bird unit, which I imagine is akin to a large cannonball. There will also be a bonus “Golden Egg” world for players to unlock.

Seriously, Angry Birds is addictive. My husband plays it on his iPhone all the time, even while we were at the banking meeting with a representative. The guy was taking a little too long processing our papers when suddenly I heard the faint maniacal chattering of suicidal birds next to me.
