Wii Party is a board game and mini-game collection, with 13 different modes. Well, better to think of it as 13 games grouped into three categories. The House Party category includes Hide ‘n’ Hunt, Animal Tracker, Time Bomb, Word Bomb and Buddy Quiz. The Party Games section includes Board Game Island, Globe Trot, Bingo, Swap Meet and Spin Off. Finally, the Pair Games section includes Balance Boat, Friend Connection and Match-Up. The Party Games and Pair Games modes are the only ones which allow people to play in a single player mode. Both House Party and Party Games allow up to four players to play, while Pair Games only allows up to two players.
Since Wii Party is going to be $49.99, that will make the bundle a great deal. A Wii remote alone costs $39.99, so people will probably do like the did with Wii Play and pick up Wii Party for the controller alone and consider the game a bonus. It could even cut into Wii Play‘s sales. Wii Play has been out since February 2007 though, so I’d say it’s had a good run.
