If your Blacklight: Tango Down experience hasn’t been everything it could be, you should really give it a second chance. Ignition has just announced that it has released a patch for the Xbox 360 and PC versions of the FPS which not only fixes issues reported by players, but also adds in features people have been requesting.

There are a number of improvements in the Blacklight: Tango Down patch which seem like they will perfect the game experience. Spawn invincibility time will last longer, allowing people to regain their bearings after being killed. Matches will also have a slightly longer intermission time and player search time to allow for matches to show up. Also, you can see exactly what point in the search process you’re at. Round times were also decreased. The PC version also has Steam achievements. In addition to all that XP distribution has been adjusted, and different weapon damage levels have been balanced as well.

To celebrate the change, Ignition reset all the demo versions’ time limits. So even if you already downloaded a Blacklight: Tango Down demo and played it until time expired, you can go back and play an additional 20 minutes. I guess Ignition’s hoping the new updates and revisions will encourage people who’ve only been trying to take the plunge and buy.

Ignition also announced that the PS3 version of Blacklight: Tango Down will automatically include the features and fixes in the Xbox 360 and PC patch just released. That is, when the PS3 version does finally get released. Even Ignition’s press release concerning this patch says the coming weeks and doesn’t give an exact release date.
