Telltale Games crossover

Telltale Games is planning the ultimate videogame crossover. On the latest episode of Gametrailers TV, a teaser trailer featuring some well known characters debuted with the tagline, “Bet you never thought these guys would get together.” We’re left with a silhouette of Tycho from Penny Arcade Adventures, Max from Sam and Max, The Heavy from Team Fortress 2 and Strong Bad from Homestar Runner.

These characters represent a mix between videogames and comics. Telltale will reveal how these four fan favorites will collaborate on September 2, 2010.

Telltale has published games from the Sam and Max and Strong Bad franchises. The developer is known for making point and click adventure games that were made popular on the PC years ago. Telltale is also developing two episodic games from the Jurassic Park and Back to the Future series. Details on those games are scarce, but Telltale released a survey asking for fan feedback on potential ideas for its Back to the Future game. Both games are expected to be released before the end of 2010.

I would love for Telltale to play to its strengths and develop an episodic adventure game starring the four characters. Each episode can take place in the world where one character comes from. There would be an overall goal for the cross-universe traversing each character would go through. It may be a long shot, but it’s my fantasy.

We have the teaser video below.
