Pet Hero Puzzle Google has done it again. This time the company has purchased a mobile game developer by the name of SocialDeck. SocialDeck has produced games for the App Store such as Pet Hero MD and Shake and Spell. It also developed an application called SocialDeck Spark that connects players across multiple devices such as Blackberries, iPhone’s and none other than Facebook.

The acquisition of SocialDeck provides Google with more ammunition for its upcoming battle with Facebook. Google has already purchased Slide, Jambool and invested millions into Zynga. Google Ventures, which is separate from Google itself, has also invested around $5 million into ngmoco.

Though not officially revealed, Google is apparently working on launching its own social network called Google Me. Gaming will play a huge role in making Google dominant to Facebook. Google is throwing a ton of money into its new project. But it will take more than cash to overthrow the biggest social network the world has ever seen.

Google hasn’t had a lot of luck in the social network space in the past. Google Wave was killed off in its current form earlier this month. Google Buzz has become a tab in Gmail that everyone tends to ignore. Google does have an enormous wealth of information at its disposal and can integrate its best features into one platform. Google probably isn’t done buying other companies. We’ll be here to talk about it soon as it does.
