PSP owners will have to wait a little bit longer to enjoy the retro-fabulous ClaDun: This is an RPG. It was originally supposed to be available on the PlayStation Store September 7, 2010, but has now been bumped back a little over two weeks to September 21.
Now, this may disappoint some people, but I think NIS America has made the right move. September 7 was also the release date of another, more popular game. You may have heard of it, it’s called Kingdom Hearts: Birth By Sleep. While KH: BBS isn’t going to be available on the PlayStation Store, it still will probably get all the attention that day. ClaDun wouldn’t be able to complete. Ace Combat: Joint Assault and UFC Undisputed 2010 debut that day as well.
Thanks to the release date shuffle, ClaDun will be the only PSP game debuting September 21. Which means it’ll have a much better chance of getting noticed by potential buyers. And it really should, since it’s a nifty little game.
ClaDun is an action RPG with some strategic elements, where players get to explore multiple, randomly generated dungeons. Before each dungeon crawl, players can adjust a Magic Circle. The main character will level up stats that will make him or her useful as a support character, while support characters will occupy spots on the Magic Circle to booth the main character’s stats and level up stats that will make them good main characters. Also, after reaching a certain point in the story, players will be able to create custom characters.
