Labor Day weekend is upon us in the United States and that usually means there’s some sales going on. We’ll be keeping our eyes open for the best deals, but we’re starting with OnLive. OnLive is discounting all of its games by 50% from now until September 6, 2010.
The offer applies to FullPlayPasses only. You can now get new games such as Mafia II and Kane and Lynch 2: Dog Days for $25 each. All you have to do is sign up for OnLive’s Founding Members program. OnLive has extended the deadline for this program to December 31, 2010. If accepted, you will get a year of OnLive for free, and the option of signing up for a second year for $4.95 per month.
A couple days ago OnLive announced it would be supporting lower-end machines on its service. Now people with netbooks or older laptops can join in on the fun. A 5 Mbps connection to the internet is still recommended, but you should get by with 3 Mpbs. OnLive is also gearing up for a Wi-Fi beta test that is scheduled to begin sometime this month. If you’re at PAX this weekend, stop by OnLive’s booth where they will be demonstrating the new Wi-Fi feature in action.
