It has been hinted at and denied, but this zombie rumor in Call of Duty: Black Ops just won’t stay dead. I’ve always said it’s very hard to believe that Treyarch would not include a zombie mode in Black Ops. It’s like taking a flamethrower to a pile of money. The company is trying hard to not acknowledge a zombie presence in Black Ops, but visual evidence keeps popping up.
Games Radar reports Treyarch is more than likely keeping a big secret from all of us. The site claims part of its crew were in a car with a Call of Duty community VIP when they shared some convincing details on what Treyarch is planning. The VIP said they were invited to check out Black Ops in May of this year. While there they saw a menu that contained the words “commie” and “zombies”. When Games Radar asked a Treyarch employee about commie zombies, they were allegedly uncomfortable talking about it before denying its playability.
This has led many to speculate if Black Ops’ commie zombie mode will be distributed as paid DLC instead of being on the disc. Perhaps it will take the place of a map pack as being the first Black Ops downloadable content. If Activision charges $15 for commie zombies, I’m sure tons of gamers would pay for it without any problem. It would just have to be a sizable download and not a 15KB unlock key.
