If you like getting free games, then Atlus has a fantastic deal for PSP owners. Early Knights in the Nightmare adopters won’t just get Knights in the Nightmare. They’ll also get the PSP version of Yggdra Union: We’ll Never Fight Alone. That definitely makes up for the game being moved from October 19, 2010 to November 9, 2010.
The news gets even better. Most PSP promotions involving freebies are only limited to the UMD release. PlayStation Store buyers and PSPgo owners end up left out. Not this time. Whether you buy your copy on a UMD from a store or as a download from PSN, you get both Knights in the Nightmare and Yggdra Union. Not bad for $29.99 – especially since many stores still sell Yggdra Union alone for between $9 – $19. The promotion only applies to launch copies though, so you’ll have to preorder or buy a copy immediately after Knights in the Nightmare ships to stores.
It’s a splendid idea, and works well because both Knights in the Nightmare and Yggdra Union are part of Sting’s Dept. Heaven series. Also, Princess Yggdra, from Yggdra Union, appears in Knights in the Nightmare. Chronologically, Yggdra Union is the second episode and Knights in the Nightmare is the fourth. If you really want to complete your collection, I suggest checking for a copy of Riviera: The Promised Land for your PSP or DS, as it’s the first entry in the series.
