Universal Studios Home Entertainment has announced that movie Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World, based on the manga series and produced with strong video game influences, will be available November 9, 2010.
The film will be avaialble in the individual versions or as a Combo pack that includes the Blu-ray disc, DVD disc and digital download.
The Blu-ray version will also include a free bonus movie that can be streamed, for a limited time, via DB-Live or to any internet enabled player, Smartphone or iPad through the Pocket Blu app.
The action-comedy film features Michael Cera (Juno, Superbad) as Scott Pilgrim, a garage band musician who has to face the seven “evil exes” of his girlfriend-to-be, Ramona Flowers (Mary Elizabeth Winstead). And, of course, they all have super powers.
The movie was produced, directed and co-written by Edgar Wright (Shaun of the Dead). Based on a graphic manga (graphic novel) series of the same name, the film also includes Kieran Culkin (Igby Goes Down), Chris Evans (Captain America: The First Avenger),Anna Kendrick (Twilight series), Alison Pill (Dan in Real Life), Aubrey Plaza (Parks and Recreation), Brandon Routh (Superman), Jason Schwartzman (Funny People), Johnny Simmons (Jennifer’s Body), Mark Webber (Broken Flowers), Mae Whitman (Parenthood) and Ellen Wong (Runaway).
The Bu-ray version will also include exclusive content (making-of documentary, music featurette and “You Too Can Be Sex Bob-omb”). As will all digital downlaods, the code that comes in the boxed sets is valid for a limited time (typically a year from release).
