First, for the entirely new games! It looks like there are six of them. Okay, maybe seven, since you can never tell with Mario Kart. Anyways, Nintendogs + Cats, Kid Icarus, Animal Crossing, Pilotwings Resort, Steel Diver and a brand new Paper Mario will all eventually be available for the 3DS. There will also be a Mario Kart game, but as I mentioned before, it’s a little difficult to tell at this point if it’s an entirely new entry or port of an existing game since only three screenshots have been released and only local and online multiplayer have been confirmed.
There will also be two ports among Nintendo’s first 3DS releases. The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D is the one fans will most likely appreciate. It’s a full revitalization of the classic N64 action-RPG, though Nintendo hasn’t mentioned if any new content will be added. The bottom screen will always show a map and sub-screen, if that helps. Another N64 game, Star Fox 64, will head to the 3DS as Star Fox 64 3D. Nintendo has confirmed full voice acting for all of the characters for the remake, an automatic save feature and if a character needs to talk to you, he or she will appear on the bottom screen so it won’t get in the way or be too distracting.
So what do you think, see anything you want yet? I’d definitely go for Animal Crossing and Nintendogs + Cats.
