Microsoft wants to thank all of its fans for being so supportive over the summer. Therefore it wants to extend a special offer to all gamers. You have a chance to earn 800 Microsoft Points and you won’t even have to use Bing to get it.
Here’s the deal. If you spend 2400 ($30) Microsoft Points on XBLA games or add-on content between today (October 1, 2010) and October 31, 2010, Microsoft will add 800 ($10) MS Points to your account. You’ll get the points in about four weeks, which means you should see a change in your balance by the end of November. One month seems like a long time for a digital deposit. By that time you’ll probably forget about this offer. At least when you turn on your Xbox you’ll be greeted by a sudden influx of points.
Only one offering of 800 points can be acquired per person. You won’t be able to spend 4,800 points and get 1,600 points back.
There are easily some great games you can spend $30 on. Limbo, Tomb Raider and the Guardian of Light and Dead Rising 2: Case Zero can be considered sound buys. Twisted Pixel’s Comic Jumper releases next week on October 6, 2010. If the quality of Comic Jumper is anything like The Maw and ‘Splosion Man, this game will be a must buy as well.
