PlayStation Store Update: Let’s go fishing with Lara Croft (September 29 to October 5, 2010)

This week’s downloadable PlayStation 3 game is Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light for $14.99. Those players with PlayStation Plus membership will have the option to buy the game through the beta they downloaded last week.
In this game, players take on the role of Lara Croft who must help a 2,000 year old Mayan warrior named Totec retrieve an ancient artifact stolen by a local warlord and stop the evil spirit he unleashed. This game features a single player story mode and a local co-op multiplayer mode. In story mode, players will assume the role of Lara Croft and must overcome obstacles, puzzles and traps to find the artifact. In co-op, players and a friend can choose between Lara or Totec and use that character’s unique tools and abilities to solve puzzles, battle enemies and survive the traps. This week’s PlayStation Portable Download is Rapala Pro Bass Fishing for $19.99. In this game players can compete against real-life fishing pros for the biggest bass in the lake. The game allows players to use the same tools pros use from an assortment of Rapala lures, licensed boats, motors and gear to reel in more than 25 different species of fish. while TV style announcers give commentaries, live updates of the competitive leader boards and announces the final weigh-ins. Players can compete in more than 20 tournament events alone or challenge friends in various competitive and angling challenges. Check out Rapala Pro Bass Fishing:
This week’s PlayStation Move game demo is Heavy Rain. Download the free PSMove patch for Heavy Rain and dive further into the world of Heavy Rain using the Move Controller. Search for the Origami Killer through controls that mimic real-world motions and Fall in love with the game again with the PSMove patch. Check out the Heavy Rain Move Demo:
*Warning: This demo requires the PlayStation Move controller and the PlayStation Eye to operate properly, those who do not own a PSMove controller or the PSEye should consider downloading regular PS3 game demos instead.
