Amazon‘s got a video game Gold Box event going on today (November 9, 2010). It isn’t a huge event, with the eight or nine sale items we’re used to, but still. Four sale video games is still pretty nice. Throughout the day, the box’s contents will change and a new video game will end up on sale to replace the old one.
The first sale item went up at 6am PST and was Sid Meiers Pirates! (Wii) for $19.99. Normally, it costs $39.99. Unfortunately, that doesn’t matter now. The sale stock has been sold out. So you have to wait until 10am PST for the next sale item. I guess this will teach someone to be a little quicker. Hit F5 a bit more often!
Here are the other three deals that will appear throughout the day. I’ll offer suggestions as to what the hints could be referring to.
- 10am PST: “The carnival is coming back to town.” – The only possibility is New Carnival Games (Wii)
- 2pm PST: “Get on board with big air and big tricks.” – It might be Tony Hawk Shred or Tony Hawk Ride, for the PS3, Wii or Xbox 360. I suppose it could also be that new Shaun White Skateboarding game.
- 6pm PST: “The best and latest Street Fighter” – Super Street Fighter IV (PS3, Xbox 360)
Also, as mentioned earlier, today’s general deal of the day at Amazon is Enslaved: Odyssey to the West (PS3, Xbox 360) for $25. It’s pretty awesome, even though it’s short, so I’d recommend picking it up.
