While I was falling asleep in a recliner, tons of people were waiting in line ready to get their hands on Call of Duty: Black Ops. We anxiously await the game’s sales numbers to see how well it has done compared to Modern Warfare 2. Right now, gamers around the globe are fighting it out online. It’s a guarantee the public will play countless hours in Black Ops’ multiplayer mode. So why not win something while you do so? Raptr is giving away a bunch of prizes that will unlock as gameplay hours increase.
Raptr is a platform that tracks online activity of videogames. To celebrate the launch of Black Ops, Raptr is giving away over 20 prizes ranging from t-shirts to a custom Alienware PC. Raptr will be giving away the prizes based on how many hours are tracked in the Xbox 360 and PC versions of Black Ops. Some prizes are unlocked by the Raptr community as a whole, and some you can unlock by yourself. You have to sign up for a Raptr account and allow it to track your Black Ops playtime to enter. Even members of the Raptr community that don’t own Black Ops can win global prizes. This contest will last until November 21, 2010.
The first global unlock will be given away once 250,000 hours have been logged. The prizes is 4000 Microsoft points or $50 for PSN. The biggest prize will be unlocked at 4 million hours. Raptr doesn’t say what the prize is, but apparently it serves the greater good.
Here is a list of all the unlockable prizes and requirements.
