The iOS version Street Fighter IV is getting another update. Which means, of course, more characters. Even though the portable version started out with a truncated roster of only eight fighters, that number has grown as time goes on and after the next update there will be 13 characters to choose from.
The newest character entering the ring is Sagat, a bald, muscle-bound fighter with a rather stylish eyepatch. He’s appeared in most of the Street Fighter games, but didn’t become a playable character until Street Fighter II: Championship Edition. Since then, he’s been a staple. He wasn’t part of the original eight iOS fighters, but was in the arcade and console editions of Street Fighter IV.
So here’s what the Street Fighter IV iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad roster will look like after this forthcoming update:
- Chun Li
- M. Bison
- E. Honda
- C. Viper
Capcom also confirmed another new feature that will be appearing in the Street Fighter IV update – local multiplayer matchmaking. When you’re playing and near someone else who’s also playing, the games will automatically connect to each other. That way, you can randomly fight against someone nearby if you’d like.
