Kinect Sports Party Pack and Kinect Joy Ride Chevrolet Car Pack DLC is free

Microsoft wants people to enjoy the Kinect this holiday season. What better way to encourage video game joy than free DLC? There is none! So people can spend Christmas and New Years enjoying the Kinect Sports Party Pack now, and after January 4, 2011 can ring in the new year with the Kinect Joy Ride Chevrolet Car Pack.

The Kinect Sports Party Pack is actually quite robust for a free update. It incudes six new mini-games for six of the existing games. Bowling gets Pinvaders, Boxing gets King of the Ring, Soccer gets SuperStriker, Table Tennis gets Target Smash, Track & Field gets Rapid Runner and Volleyball gets Fruit Splatter. On top of that, there are 15 new Party Play Events and Zippy Zombie, Champion Chicken and Sportastico mascots. And, to make sure you make the most of the new additions, there are 10 new achievements.

The Kinect Joy Ride Chevrolet Car Pack DLC isn’t as spectacular. It only adds three new cars to your game. But it still will be nice to get virtual Cameros, Corvettes and
Cruzes for free.

For any Xbox 360 newbies reading this, who may have only just bought the system and Kinect, you need to have the games to get the free DLC. If you do, then you can head onto Xbox Live and download the pack for free. The Kinect Sports Party Pack is only a short 7.6mb download.
